We have been using the Gluco 111+ Innov2Learn (I2L) glucometer in our undergraduate nursing simulation sessions in SETU for some time now, and it has proven to be a valuable addition to our training environment. The glucometer integrates really well into the scenarios and helps to enhance the realism of our simulations, allowing the students to engage in more authentic patient-care experience.

I run a simulation lab for a nursing program in New York. Our students absolutely love our Innov2Learn simulated glucometers and thermometers. The thermometers add a whole new level to simulation for us because my students can take a temperature on a mannequin and it will populate a temperature instead of them looking at a little sticker that says the temp.

I find all three products extremely easy to use on either PC or Phone App. The quickly respond to information being sent and are very realistic.

Is the app really free?
Yes. The Innov2Learn App is free on all supported platforms, with no hidden fees, subscriptions, or activation charges. It follows the language of the tablet or phone it is installed on.
Can one app run all three devices at once?
Yes. All three devices connect to a single app simultaneously over Bluetooth BLE, with wireless control over 15 metres (49 ft). Battery levels for each device are visible from the app.
How do we avoid a missed reading mid-scenario?
Preload the value in preset mode and it is sent automatically when the device detects the learner's action. With auto-connect on, trigger-based readings send themselves, reducing missed cues. Battery levels for every device stay visible from the app, and the Bluetooth link runs directly to your tablet or phone.
Does it need our Wi-Fi network?
No. The devices connect directly to your tablet or phone over Bluetooth, so a session does not depend on the institutional network.
Which units and languages are supported?
Gluco-mini displays mmol/L or mg/dL; Ear-T displays °C or °F; both are selected from the app. Device languages: English, French, and Italian.
Does it work with our manikins? With standardized patients?
Both. The devices are designed for simulated participants and for low- to high-fidelity manikins. The Oxi works on any finger, human or moulded.
What happens when the 50 strips run out?
You can try your own strips, valid or expired, to test compatibility with the Gluco-mini slot. For resupply of strips or probe covers, email sales@i2L.ca.
Is a tablet included?
No. The kit includes no tablet or mobile device; the free app runs on hardware you already own.
Anything we should not do?
Do not charge the devices with super chargers or fast-charging mobile chargers. Use the included chargers and cables.
Can we change what's in the kit?
No. The case insert is laser-cut to this exact configuration, so contents cannot be swapped. If you need a different device mix, ask sales about the full product line.
